The Big Catch tells the story of the acrobatic fisherman Caster, as he ventures across the world hunting for rare fish and ultimately discovering an untold history that's lying just beneath the surface of his mysterious homeland.
Caster works for the esteemed and enigmatic Chef Leurre as a hired hand. Alongside his kinsman and rival Tackle, the two are cast into the vast barren deserts of their world in search of new ingredients-expanding Leurre's menu, and hopefully saving the titular (and questionably placed) restaurant, The Big Catch.
Although a seemingly mundane task, Caster and Tackle's journey see them crossing paths with bands of thieves, mysterious beings from another world, corrupt politicians, regretful heretics, forest sprites, and ancient monsters—all in pursuit of the one thing of any true value left in such a wasteland: FISH.
As our hardworking hunters pick up the pace reeling in their next big catch, The Big Catch finds new life, attracting guests from far and wide. However, amidst their hunt, a growing unease hangs in the air—one that neither Caster nor Tackle had initially signed up for.
